The former head of parliament’s commission of human rights, Lutheran pastor Janis Shmit becomes the head of social organization “NoPride”. The previous manager of the project Igor Maslyakov says that “considering the huge experience of this man in areas of human rights and politics I believe he will be able to lift the organization in a new level by protecting traditional family and Christian values, which experience more and more cruel and aggressive attacks”.

Representatives from all confessions in Riga Dome Christian Board signed a letter “Appeal not to allow gay and lesbian march “Baltic Pride””. The letter is addressed and sent to the chairmen of the Dome J.Birks and to the executive director A.Grinberg.

One of his first decisions was an open lobbying of the interests of the representatives of the so called “culture of death”. It disturbs those, who protect the traditional family and the moral values of the society.

As a Bulgarian Pastor George Bakalov reported to the NG press-center, in cooperation with other representatives of the Evangelical churches he filed a lawsuit against the local newspaper, which was twisting facts about their ministry and caused a negative attitude towards the Protestants in general.

The atheism adherers try to aggressively promote it in modern Europe. It seems that even people in the Former Soviet Union with its god-denying regime could not think up something that takes place in the European Union today. As many news agencies report that for some time now there are hundreds of buses driving around the cities of Great Britain and Spain that have an openly atheistic slogans on them that say, “There's probably no God. So stop worrying and enjoy your life.” The atheists not only attack faith in God, but also the hope and the comfort that so many people need in this difficult time.

 The next day after the inauguration of the new President of the USA Barack Obama the traditional sermon will be read for the first time in history by a female Priest, reports Christian Megaportal invictory.org referring to Interfax-Religion. Sharon Watkins leads a Protestant organization called Christian Church (“The Disciples of Christ”) that has around 690,000 parishioners, reports the American press.

 The Head of Saeima Human Rights Protection Committee Janis Shmits will end his work in the Parliament as of January 15th to give his post to the former Minister of Integration Oscar Kastens (both from the Latvian First Party/Latvian Way). According to Shmits he has some “grandiose ideas” for the future. In particular, he is planning to create a network of non-government organizations that will become an alternative for the Soros Foundation. The new structure will help Latvians keep their traditional values.

Influential Christian ministers of the USA, such as Kenneth Hutcherson, who is one of the leaders of the Christian Organization for Protection of Human Rights Watchmen on the Walls, and famous Pastor Casey Treat called the believers to come to the Capitol and proclaim their faith.
